In 2016, I quit my 9–5 at 23 years old, 7 months pregnant, with $100 to my name, no degree, wrecked credit & not a fucking clue how to build a business. I grew up in poverty. I knew what it was like to be in an abusive relationship without the resources to leave.
So when I say money changes a woman's life, I don't mean she can buy a nicer fucking handbag. lol. I mean she can LEAVE. She can provide for her babies. She can decide what happens next without needing somebody else's permission.
I founded Breadwinner Energy® in 2021 because I wanted women to have those choices.
But here's what I've learned: becoming the woman who can make the money is only ONE part of being a Breadwinner.
There's the woman you become. The shit you have to unlearn. The relationships you navigate. The wealth you build & actually OWN. The freedom to enjoy your life instead of spending all of it being responsible for everybody else's.That's the conversation we're having here

I grew up poor with my single mom in a trailer. I was bullied, survived childhood sexual abuse + lost my dad to suicide at 16.

What started as survival became ownership. Then a decade of building businesses, helping hundreds of women build theirs + eventually creating something designed to exist far beyond me.
I'm Tay Nocktonick an Indigenous woman, Citizen Potawatomi Nation member, mother of two girls + Founder of Breadwinner Energy®.
I know exactly what it means to have very few options. I built Breadwinner Energy® so more women can build their own.
